We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Plant Ecology (Ecosystem Change Ecology, Invasion Science and/or Restoration Ecology). The appointee will be a joint appointment between The University of Western Australia (UWA) and The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), with an equal share of time to be devoted to both institutions and their activities. At CSIRO, the position will be aligned with the Ecosystem Change Ecology team based at Floreat, while at UWA, the position will be aligned with the School of Plant Biology.
We are seeking a highly motivated person with enthusiasm and commitment to excellence in research, research student training (PhD and MSc) and coursework teaching (Master and Undergraduate levels). The successful candidate will join a strong group of Ecologists with diverse interests at CSIRO and UWA.
Our location provides an exceptional opportunity to work on highly endemic and unique ecosystems across temperate and tropical climates, including the National Heritage-listed and remote Kimberley region, and the Southwest Australia Ecoregion, one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots.
